The Vigo Gallery virtual tour features a spacious, custom-built virtual gallery displaying paintings by Samuel Bassett. The name of the virtual show is ‘Oi Oi’, showing his detailed psychologically layered paintings about the human condition and his/our place within the madness of contemporary life. Due to space constraints, the space format was chosen to fit a selection of large-scale paintings, which would be challenging to showcase together in a real-life setting. The concrete floor reflects the view of a misty English countryside, which helps to ground the gallery in the space. Vigo Virtual Gallery expands the boundaries of the natural world in terms of style, scope, and location. Artworks are spanned between the two floors of the gallery. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows open the space and fill the rooms with natural light.

The Vigo Gallery virtual show is named ‘Village’ by artist Justin Williams. Artworks are traversed within the two floors of the gallery. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows expose the space and furnish the rooms with natural light. Using local pigments, these paintings obtain a timeless place that helps his storytelling. Their folkloric bent and narrative can appear both antique and naïve, but his paintings’ influential figures and nuance develop on closer examination.
